Change. It’s not everyone’s favorite topic, but it will inevitably become something to face within an organization. Whether it’s a major shakeup within the company such as a restructuring, a company-wide move, or a highly stressful new roll-out; change can produce various levels of fear among members of a team. If it isn’t addressed with honest communication, trust, and human dignity, individuals within the team can lose their footing and shift the integrity and momentum of the entire group.
Whether change has recently occurred or is just about to take place for your team, being prepared to face it authentically can create a soft place for your team to land unscathed. Understanding what takes place on a neurological level that can exacerbate or provide padding for the discomfort of change can provide forethought and healthy communication among your team during an upheaval. Having this knowledge and a softer, more playful way to move through it together can connect the team with the same dedication and commitment they had before THAT THING happens. Addressing the elephant in the room doesn’t have to be difficult. It can be handled with humor, compassion, and grace and can bring even the most skeptical on the team ready to say “I’m in!”
Together we’ll explore our neuroplastic ability to face and bounce back from difficulty. Experiencing first-hand how much stronger and resilient we are when we tap into our individual and collective creativity to live in the new normal and get back into a state of thriving together without harm or major incident.

Most change initiatives include training sessions for supervisors and managers to help them better implement those initiatives. However, few change initiatives include sessions designed to help individual contributors better deal with those changes being implemented by their supervisors and managers. To that end, this four-hour change management training program is designed either as a stand-alone session or as a complementary session to the Leading Change training. Created in a highly interactive format, the session will help participants deal more effectively with workplace change – and provide specific communication strategies and techniques to help them influence their supervisors and managers to lead more effectively during periods of workplace change.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this training program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the stages of dealing with change – as well as how and why they personally struggle with change
- Diagnose how they are currently dealing with a significant workplace change, as identified by the Dealing with Change Assessment
- Connect their scores on the Dealing with Change Assessment to the behaviors of the four key stakeholders in change initiatives
- Anticipate and overcome the challenges of dealing with change in living systems
- Identify ways to help their leaders effectively implement the five dimensions of change

In today’s chaotic world, the only constant is change. In the span of less than 15 years, we’ve already experienced a Great Recession that wiped out decades of consumer wealth and a once-in-a-century pandemic that is still reshaping our society. In the face of rapid technological advances and automation, shifting demographics, and economic turbulence, trying to stay in the same place is no longer an option. In this workshop, you will gain the tools to see change as an opportunity rather than a threat and prepare your organization at the strategic and individual levels for the future.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this training program, participants will be able to:
- Determine how change-ready you and your organization is using the Antifragile framework
- Use Mind Maps to identify key threats and opportunities for the future
- Map and analyze emerging crises and ready your organization for new risks
- Future proof yourself and enhance decision by acquiring “mindsets” rather than just new skill sets
- Create “affordable optionality” through smart diversification
- De-risk new opportunities by creating Minimum Viable Products and leveraging iterative methods from the most innovative Silicon Valley companies

We’ve had to refocus our priorities and overcome numerous obstacles in our personal and professional lives. We have attempted to pivot, rise, adapt, be flexible, find silver linings, and face challenges head-on. While change is inevitable, we have been living through an unprecedented time of rapid and unsolicited change. Many of us are struggling with how to cope. There are complex feelings that go along with change as well as a variety of responses we can have towards it.
In this engaging presentation, Kari examines the process of change and shares ideas for how we can use humor and heart to thrive through change. Kari also discusses the importance of perspective, the role of courage, and the power of compassion. If we want to cultivate our resilience, we need to reconnect with the best parts of ourselves. Doing this will enable us to truly thrive as we navigate the challenges and changes in our lives.
