Debbie Scheer
Debbie Scheer began her speaking career teaching Sex Ed to middle and high school students (yes, it was as fun as it sounds). Working with this age range, she learned that humor was an effective way to capture a tough audience’s attention and keep them engaged.
From here, Debbie expanded her audience to include adults and took the next obvious step from Sex Ed, which of course was stand-up comedy. Debbie witnessed that if an audience was laughing they were open to learning. She wanted to create something where adults could laugh and learn, and she found comedy/education shows the answer as a way to educate adults on topics that most of us would rather avoid.
Debbie infuses every presentation with humor, storytelling, antidotes and tangible take-aways, and speaks on a variety of topics. She connects with audiences both in person as well as in the virtual space and continues to believe that, if we can laugh about it, we can learn about it.
